THE BURGLAR BOYS OF BELTSVILLE

Prince George’s County Police report the arrest of two men believed to be involved in a slew of thefts from sheds, vehicles and all around common thievery.

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s District VI – Beltsville Detective Bureau charged two suspects in connection with nearly 40 theft and burglary cases in the Beltsville area. The suspects are 27-year-old Paul Moegel III and 31-year-old Christopher Talbott. Both suspects live in Beltsville.

PG Police say their investigation revealed the suspects stole items in shed burglaries, thefts from vehicles and other thefts. The crimes took place between June of 2024 and October of 2025. Detectives obtained a search warrant for their home in the 4800 block of Lexington Avenue.

During that search, dozens of items believed stolen were recovered to include power tools and yard equipment. Detectives are asking theft victims in the Beltsville area to review the video and photos and contact District VI if they believe their property may be among the recovered items. Please call 301-937-0910.PG Police report that detectives have now obtained 144 charges for Paul and 97 charges for Talbott, alleged to have taken place in 2024 and 2025.

Both defendants are now in the custody of the Department of Corrections. Judge Michelle Bageant issued arrest warrants for Mogel on October, which court records reveal were served on Oct. 16, 2025. Judge Wennesa Bell Snoddy ordered Mogel held without bond. Taxpayers of Maryland will be overjoyed to learn that they will be paying for the legal defense of these alleged master criminals as the Public Defender of PG County has signed up as the mouthpiece for Mogel.

PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY COURT RECORDS ARE FILLED WITH ERRORS
The arrest information in the Maryland Court System show that the height and weight of Paul Christian Moegel III were that he was six foot in height and weighed 230 pounds, when Moegel was arrested on charges of theft under $25,000 on March 25, 2025. In addition, his height was listed by the clerks of the court as being 5’9” and his weight was listed as 140 pounds, indicating that in about six months he grew by three inches and packed on ninety pounds.  The discrepancy should be addressed by court officials in order to maintain confidence in the Maryland Judiciary records.
