DELAWARE STATE POLICE BEAT: Pistol-packin’ mama was no angel when she committed armed robbery of Big Lots

WILMINGTON, DEL. – With an angelic inspired name, the future might have been more predictably conducted in the lane of honesty and humility – at least that could have been the intentions of the parents of this woman that the cops are seeking for armed robbery in Delaware.

 The Delaware State Police report that they are seeking the public’s assistance in attempting to locate 50-year-old Angelique D. Banks, of Bear, Del., who is wanted in connection with a robbery.

Undocmented shopper was packing heat

The incident occurred on March 22, 2019 at approximately 8:10 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the Big Lots, located at 4439 Governor Printz Boulevard for a report of a robbery.  Upon arrival, Troopers met with two store employees who advised that a female had entered the store carrying shopping bags.  The female proceeded to select household goods and conceal them in her bags.

Police say that when the suspect attemped to leave the store without rendering payment, the employees verbally confronted the female.

 The suspect continued to exit the front doors when she displayed a holstered handgun in her waistband and announced she had a gun. 

The store employees were able to follow the suspect to the parking lot, where they observed her enter a Black Dodge Durango and flee the scene. The Big Lots security system provided a grand photo of getaway car of Angelique.
