MURDER USA: Baltimore Police officer shot when responding to shooting report at Man Alive drug treatment and mental health clinic on Maryland Ave., taken to Shock Trauma

Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison: Suspect in shooting at methadone clinic fatally shot in exchange with Baltimore Police Sgt Bill Shiflett. Shiflett shot under the vest, at Shock Trauma. Another man found dead in the Man Alive Methadone clinic with gunshot wounds. Treated as ” active shooter” originally because the suspect had fired twice. The gunman had shot and killed a man found later deceased in a room after police began to search the clinic, room by room.

A shooting at the Man Alive drug clinic on Maryland Avenue in Baltimore on July 15, 2019, left an innocent victim shot dead and a Baltimore Police Sergeant wounded and with the killer being shot dead as well. Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said a 25 year veteran of the Baltimore police department was rescued by another officer after being shot at the methadone clinic on Monday morning. Harrison identified Sergeant Bill Shiflett, 51, as the officer who was shot and dragged to safety by Officer Christopher Miller, 32.

Harrison: “This was a dangerous situation that could have been far worse, all of which was captured on body camera video”

Harrison: Suspect killed in a gun battle with the officer. A second man also shot and killed in the gun battle. Wounded Officer is Sgt. Bill Shifflet, a 25 year veteran of @BaltimorePolice He is in surgery

BALTIMORE, MD. – Baltimore Police report an Officer-involved shooting: 2100 block of Maryland Avenue. Several people reportedly have been shot by a suspect and a gunman fired on and struck a Baltimore City Police officer who was hit and rushed to the Shock Trauma unit.



WMAR reports that Baltimore Police Commissioner Harrison is at the Shock Trauma Center with a wounded officer.
