DWI HIT PARADE: St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports DUI arrests for Sept. 10, 2019

DUI/Resisting Arrest: St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that on September 10, 2019, Dep. Philip Henry observed a commercial truck stopped in the roadway in the 21700 block of Point Lookout Road in Callaway.  Upon checking on the operator, Sean Eugene Alexander Triplet, 34, of 1426 Valley Street, Kingsport, Tennessee, was discovered slumped over the wheel of the 2020 International.  Triplett was found to be operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol and arrested.  Triplett began to pull away from Dep. Henry and attempted to flee the area. Triplett was arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving While Impaired by Alcohol. The end of this commercial driver’s career should occur on the court date of Oct. 22, 2019.

DUI/Drug Arrest:

On September 10, 2019, Dep. Schell responded to a property damage accident in the 21600 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park. Sheriff Cameron reports that the investigation determined Kathleen Lorraine Byerly, 51, of Lexington Park, had struck an unoccupied vehicle and then drove to a different spot in the parking lot.  Contact was made with Byerly, who was determined to be operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.  Byerly was arrested and a pill (suspected Oxycodone) was located in Byerly’s pocket. Byerly was charged with Driving Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol, Driving Vehicle So Far Impaired by Drugs and Alcohol Cannot Drive Safely, and CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana.

On June 14, 2019, Shannon Marie Seals, 33, of California, was charged with Driving a Vehicle While so Far Impaired by Drugs and Cannot Drive Safely and Driving a Vehicle While Impaired by a Controlled Dangerous Substance by Deputy Latisha Baker.

On June 15, 2019, Keith Ashley Decker, 39, of Mechanicsville, was charged with Driving Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol Per Se, Driving Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol and Driving Vehicle While So Far Impaired by Alcohol Cannot Drive Safely by Deputy Austin Edelen.

On June 15, 2019, Luricko Antonio Clyburn, 38, of Lexington Park, was charged with Driving Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol Per Se and Driving Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol by Deputy Michael Graves.

On June 16, 2019, Jason Michael Pyle, 34, of Mechanicsville, was charged with Driving Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol and Negligent Driving by Deputy Michael Graves.

On June 16, 2019, Devin Andrew Wallace, 24, of Great Mills, was charged with Driving Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol Per Se, Driving Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol and Negligent Driving by Deputy Joseph Bowling.

On June 20, 2019, Wesley Ross Noll, 41, of Hollywood, was charged with Driving Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol Per Se, Driving Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol, Negligent Driving, and Reckless Driving by Deputy Warren Forinash.

FOURTH DWI ARREST FOR LERREL ERIC CAREY

On July 21, 2019, at 8:13 am,  Lerrel Eric Carey, 32, of 46378 Peggs Lane, Lexington Park, Md., was arrested while operating a 2007 Lincoln southbound on Rt. 235 near Rescue Lane in Hollywood, Md., for Driving Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol, and Driving, Attempting to Drive Motor Vehicle on Highway Without Required License and Authorization by Dep. Tyler Westphal. A trial is set for Sept. 25, 2019, in St. Mary’s District Court.  

  • Carey awaits a visit with a judge on Oct. 10, 2019, for failing to attend the Driver Improvement Program when arrested for DWI, speeding, driving while suspended, possession of drugs and general failure to do good, by Trooper Derek Harper on July 13, 2019, at 2:02 am.
  • When indicted for drug distribution and possession by the St. Mary’s Grand Jury on April 10, 2017, Lerrel Eric Carey got a sweet plea deal from St. Mary’s States Attorney Richard Fritz and pleaded guilty to possession of drugs (not pot, but more likely cocaine). The sentence in THE DEAL was one year in jail with all of the jail time suspended, indicating that Carey likely dropped the dime on some competing drug dealers.
  • Lerrel Eric Carey was arrested for DWI by Deputy Cara Grumbles on June 7, 2009, as he operated a 2006 Mitsubishi southbound on MD. Rt. 235 at Clarkes Landing Road in Hollywood, Md. In a plea deal with St. Mary’s States Attorney Fritz on Oct. 5, 2011, Carey entered a guilty plea. THE DEAL: ten days in jail.
  • Lerrel Eric Carey entered a guilty plea to DWI on Jan. 14, 2009 in St. Mary’s District Court in a plea deal with St. Mary’s States Attorney Richard Fritz. THE DEAL: a verdict of Probation Before Judgement with a 30-day suspended sentence and a fine of $250.

On June 22, 2019, Brandy Lynn Finley, 40, of Lexington Park, was charged with Driving Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol by Deputy Alexander Wynnyk.

On June 23, 2019, Cory Tyler Christensen, 26, of Prince Frederick, Md., was charged with Driving Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol and Driving While License Suspended by Cpl. Brian Connelly.

July 19, 2019, Miguel Angel Rodriguez-Perez, 28, (DOB 08/26/1991) of 2108 Liberty Street, Apt. 907, Lexington Park, Md., charged with Driving Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol by Dep Kyler Kilgore as he operated a 2014 Toyota on Rt. 235 near Pegg Road in Lexington Park, Md., at 8 pm.  On Sept. 10, 2019, St. Mary’s States Attorney Richard Fritz dropped all of the charges.

 On Aug. 19, 2019, Timothy Allen Dlouhy, 54 (DOB 11/30/1964) of 7045 Sawmill Road, Lusby, Md.- Driving, Attempting to Drive Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol by Cpl. Pesante. On March 27, 2018, in St. Mary’s District Court in a plea deal with St. Mary’s States Attorney Richard Fritz, Dlouhy entered a guilty plea to DWI for his arrest by St. Mary’s Deputy Matthew Beyer on Feb. 9, 2019 as he operated a Nissan on Chancellors Run Road at Fire Department Lane. THE DEAL: in this deal in return for pleading guilty, Dlouhy was given a 30-day suspended sentence and supervised probation for one year.  Court records show that his license was suspended for failing to pay the $250 fine, that he is a repeat offender and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest on July 11, 2019.

  • At trial in Calvert District Court on Aug. 19, 2019, Timothy Allen Dlouhy entered into a plea deal with Calvert States Attorney Andrew Rappaport and pleaded guilty to DWI following his arrest on June 30, 2019, by Calvert Deputy J. Hardesty at 10 am. THE DEAL: Dlouhy was sentenced to 18 months in jail with all but 51 days suspended and two years of supervised probation.
  • At a trial in St. Mary’s District Court, on Sept. 3, 2019, Dlouhy was found to have violated his probation and was incarcerated.
  • Timothy Allen Dlouhy entered a guilty plea on March 5, 2009, in Calvert District Court following his arrest for DWI by Deputy J. Lord on Nov. 8, 2019, on Rt. 4 near the Gov. Thomas Johnson Bridge in Solomon’s Island. The sentence in that conviction was nine months in jail.

On Aug. 18, 2019 at 3:37 pm, Beth Suzanne Gannon, 33, (DOB 02/17/1986) of 28721 Lockes Hill Drive, Mechanicsville, Md., was arrested as she operated a Nissan on Mohawk Drive in Charlotte Hall, Md.,  for Driving Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol by Dep. Wynnyk. A trial is set in St. Mary’s District Court for Sept. 27, 2019.
