The morons running the Commonwealth of Virginia Judiciary do not care if you live or die, as can be learned from observing this idiot’s arrest record and traffic offenses.
DWI HIT PARADE: Keiron Pollard took his kid for a DUI joy ride through a construction zone in I-64, injuring highway worker Richard Hogue
YORK COUNTY, VA – A Williamsburg driver with a record of DUI earned another one when he decided to take a shortcut through a construction zone on Interstate 64, reports the Virginia State Police. While the operator was arrested when he ran out of gas, he proved that he knew where to get the booze for his big belly but failed to fill the tank of his Suburban.
A VDOT subcontractor struck in the safety work zone by a drunk driver, will recover from his injuries.
Saturday afternoon (Sept 19) at approximately 1:34 PM, the Virginia State Police Communications Center received several calls of a Chevrolet Suburban, whose driver had struck a pedestrian, and was fleeing the scene. The incident occurred in the westbound lanes of Interstate 64 at the 236 mm, inside the safety work zone area which was blocked from the normal flow of traffic by jersey walls.
While the operator was arrested when he ran out of gas, he proved that he knew where to get the booze for his big belly but failed to fill the tank of his Suburban.
The Virginia State Police report that according to witnesses and the preliminary investigation conducted at the scene, traffic in the westbound lanes was heavy and congested.
Witnesses observed the 2009 Suburban drive around the cones and behind the jersey wall, proceeding down a lane that was being constructed, in order to avoid the congested traffic. The driver, Keiron Chardel Pollard, struck a VDOT subcontractor, Richard T. Hogue, of Lanexa, Virginia, and continued through the safety work zone.
Police say that Pollard exited the safety work zone back onto the interstate, where he attempted to exit at the 243 mm before running out of gas.
Hogue suffered serious injuries and was transported to Riverside Doctors Hospital in Williamsburg and was later flown to the Medical College of Virginia.
Shortly after the accident, troopers located the Suburban stopped on the 234 mm exit ramp. In interviewing the Pollard on the accident, he was found to be intoxicated while driving with a 4-year-old child in the vehicle.
Keiron C Pollard, 30, of the 500 block of Dunning Street, Williamsburg, was arrested and charged with felony hit and run, DUI (2nd offense), reckless driving, and child endangerment. Pollard was taken to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail where he received no bond.
