FAKE NOOSE NEWS: WAS DELEGATE JEFF LONG SEEKING TO IMITATE JUSSIE SMOLLET WITH LYNCHING SCENE?

DUNKIRK, MD. – The dramatic expose by a Calvert County Democrat who serves in the House of Delegates, Jeff Long, that a lynching depiction near the home of the Calvert County Superintendant of Schools, Dr. Andre Townsel, was a hate crime proved quickly to be false.

Del. Long asserted that the lynching scene was the work of Trump supporters or those who overwhelmingly elected the new conservative members of the Calvert County School Board to inflame those who read his post.

The truth of the matter might give Delegate Long pause before he launches into another Trump Derangement Syndrome tirade.

Just as the actor Jussie Smollett, in an attempt to save his faltering career, inflamed politics and engaged the strong support of various liberal politicians with a false noose report after he hired two men to attack him in the name of MAGA, it appears from the police report of a lynching in Dunkirk is baloney being hyped by a politician who can’t get over the landslide of President Donald Trump.

The investigation of Calvert Sheriff Ricky Cox revealed that Long’s condemnation over the lynching depiction was a leftover SPOOKY lawn art from Halloween.

For the benefit of Delegate Long and those suffering from TDS, Halloween is a holiday a few days before Election Day, celebrated by children as a pretense to gain candy not otherwise allowed by parents but encouraged by dentists.

Delegate Long jumped to the conclusion that the Ku Klux Klan-style intimidation of blacks was now alive and well in Calvert County and announced to the black superintendent of schools that he would be his warrior, savior, and champion to protect him from right-wing extremists recently elected to the Calvert Board of Education.

“It has been reported that Calvert County Public Schools superintendent Dr. Andre Townsel (who is the first African American Superintendent) had a noosed figure placed on a tree near his residence.

Dr. Townsel, I have your back. I look forward to fighting tooth and nail to support and protect you. No right-wing extremist school board, complicit county commissioners, or the like will take us backward. Let’s be clear: Trump may have won the Presidency, but Maryland is a blue state… and y’all are about to find out!”

Calvert County Sheriff’s Investigation Resolves Suspicious Incident in Dunkirk, Determines Halloween Decoration Caused Community Alarm

On the morning of November 8, 2024, the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious event in a residential neighborhood in Dunkirk, Maryland. Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) were assigned to the case. Upon arrival, it was reported that a human-shaped object had been seen hanging from a tree in the front yard of a residence. Concerned citizens initially believed the object to be a racially motivated statement, causing alarm in the community.

Detectives made contact with the homeowner where the object was located. The homeowner advised that his family had decorated for Halloween and that the object in question was part of a larger display put up in the spirit of the holiday. Prior to law enforcement arriving on the scene, when a family member realized the negative perception of the object hanging from the tree, they promptly removed it and placed it on the ground.

Other neighbors not directly involved in the incident confirmed that they had seen the object in various locations around the yard for the past two weeks.

The homeowner requested to speak with the concerned neighbors, apologized for the misunderstanding, and extended an open invitation to his home if they wished to discuss the incident further.

Through the investigation and consultation with the Calvert County State’s Attorney’s Office, this case was closed and determined to be an unfortunate misunderstanding resulting from a Halloween decoration.

The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office takes racial and hate-related incidents seriously and will continue to work toward keeping Calvert County a safe community for all residents.

DELEGATE LONG CHARGED WITH HOME INVASION, BURGLARY, ASSAULT WITH METAL PIPE AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

On April 21, 2023, Delegate Long was named as the defendant in a domestic violence case in the District Court for Calvert County. A temporary protective order against Del. Long was issued. The complaint made by Debbira Brown was dismissed at the request of the petitioner on April 28, 2023.

Maryland Court records show that Delegate Long was charged by Deputy A. Aranda on April 4, 2023, with Delegate C. T. Wilson, Democrat, of Charles County, serving as one of three attorneys to defend him against felony charges of fourth-degree burglary and second-degree assault. Long was alleged to have threatened his aunt with a metal pipe after breaking into her home. The charges were placed in connection with the home invasion of his aunt’s home.

St. Mary’s States Attorney Jaymi Sterling dropped charges against Long.

In a plea deal on August 18, 2023, the charges were dropped by St. Mary’s States Attorney Jaymie Sterling after the case was moved from Calvert before Judge George M. Lipman.

Long’s lawyer, Michael Adams, told DC News Now, he was “happy” about the prosecution’s decision, saying: “The allegations were false, and Jeffrie has finally been vindicated.”
