MURDER USA: Drug dealer Eric Marshall shot dead inside Mercedes on Reed Terrace in Southeast; William Boykin shot dead, companion wounded
WASHINGTON, D.C. – A Maryland drug dealer was shot dead on his home turf where he sat in the driver’s seat of a 2007 Mercedes-Benz CLS 550 in Anacostia, reports the District Police.
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, in the 4600 block of Reed Terrace, Southeast.
At approximately 7:26 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, members located an unconscious adult male victim, inside of a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.
Police say that the decedent has been identified as 34-year-old Eric Eugene Marshall, 34, of 5017 Southern Ave., Capitol Heights, MD.
Marshall was charged with distribution of drugs and possession of cocaine by indictment of the Prince Georges County Grand Jury on Feb. 27, 2018. On June 29, 2018, Marshall withdrew a not guilty plea and entered a plea of guilty to possession of cocaine. The plea deal with then Prince Georges County States Attorney Angela Alsobrooks, Marshall was given a year in jail which was then all suspended, and probation ordered for one year. The distribution charge was dumped by Alsobrooks.
On August 23, 2018, Marshall was arrested again, the court ordered his probation to be ended and an arrest warrant was issued with no bond allowed. The bench warrant can now be attached to his toe tag in the Washington City Morgue.

Prince Georges County Circuit Court Judge Northrup ordered on July 20, 2016, that a Judgement by Default was entered in favor of Prince Georges County in the amount of $14,216.00 which was seized by the county and held by the Finance Director. The court held that the funds in currency were contraband.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Police say that Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, in the 2600 block of Birney Place, Southeast.
At approximately 12:04 am, members of the Seventh District responded to the 2600 block of Birney Place, Southeast, for the report of the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, members located an adult male victim, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officers canvased the rear of the listed location and located a second adult male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the second victim to a local hospital. After all life-saving efforts failed, he was pronounced dead. The surviving victim was treated at an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the victim has been identified as 36-year-old William Boykin, of District Heights, Md.
