POT OUTLAW: Jaquell McDonald stole a van from Delaware State Police to transport his 131 pounds of pot to market
DOVER, DEL. – Crime in the First State has risen to new levels when criminals fear not the police and steal vehicles from parking areas under the control of the Delaware State Police. Then load it up with illegal drugs.
The Dover Police Department reports that officers arrested 24-year-old Jaquell McDonald on drug charges on Tuesday, October 8th, 2019 at 12:52 PM after he was found to be in possession of 131.4 pounds of marijuana in a stolen vehicle.
Officers contacted McDonald in the 400 Block of Haslet Street after being dispatched to a suspicious vehicle in the area.
According to, M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman of the Dover Police, it was determined “…the vehicle was stolen out of Delaware State Police jurisdiction.” (Yes, that is police talk for saying that this bozo ripped off the wheels from the State Police.)
A search of the van led to the discovery of an additional 131.4 pounds of marijuana plants.
McDonald was contacted by officers and found to have 72.9 grams of marijuana on his person. A search of the van led to the discovery of an additional 131.4 pounds of marijuana plants.
McDonald was released on a $65,000 unsecured bond on the following offenses:
- -Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana
- -Possession of Marijuana
- -Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- -Tampering with Physical Evidence
