Suspect and a Vehicle of Interest Sought in a Homicide: 1300 Block of Clifton Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect and a vehicle of interest in reference to a fatal shooting that occurred on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, in the 1300 block of Clifton Street, Northwest.

At approximately 11:24 pm, members of the Third District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on the scene until being transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The decedent has been identified as 31-year-old Adam Fongyen, of Northwest, DC.

The suspect and vehicle of interest were captured by a nearby surveillance camera can be seen in this video shown below.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide. Investigators seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a person and a vehicle of interest in a homicide that occurred in the 1300 block of Clifton Street, NW, on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at approximately 11:34 AM. The subject and vehicle were captured by nearby surveillance cameras.

MURDER USA: Kim Maurice Cooke’ homicide bring DC total to 129 for 2020 with more to come!

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, in the 5000 block of Jay Street, Northeast.

At approximately 8:27 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on the scene until being transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The decedent has been identified as 49-year-old Kim Maurice Cooke, (DOB 11/1/1970) of 4831 Olympia Place, Waldorf, MD.

 Kim Maurice Cooke was convicted of distribution of drugs in Prince Georges County Circuit Court on July 24, 1995. Cooke withdrew his plea of not guilty before Circuit Court Judge Sothoron and entered a plea of guilty to Count 12 of the Grand Jury indictment of conspiracy to distribute cocaine. The plea deal provided for a period of incarceration of one year to be served concurrently with the term he was already serving in the Maryland prison at Cumberland, Md.

Homicide: 800 Block of Ridge Road, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Thursday, August 27, 2020, in the 800 block of Ridge Road, Southeast.

At approximately 10:19 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.

The decedent has been identified as 23-year-old Byron Bright, of Oxon Hill, MD. Friday, August 28, 2020

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Thursday, August 27, 2020, in the 2800 block of V Street, Northeast.

At approximately 4:01 pm, members of the Fifth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male, inside of a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on the scene until being transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The decedent has been identified as 25-year-old Kyree Pringle, of Bryans Road, MD.

MURDER USA: Shot to death on Barnaby Terrace

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday, August 28, 2020, in the 1100 block of Barnaby Terrace, Southeast.

At approximately 8:47 am, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.

The decedent has been identified as 28-year-old Erik Butler, of Southeast, DC.

MURDER USA: Stabbed to death on Florida Avenue

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Saturday, August 29, 2020, in the unit block of Florida Avenue, Northwest.

At approximately 10:12 pm, DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the unit block of Bates Street, Northwest for report of a man down. Upon arrival, members located an adult male, suffering from a stab wound. Members of the Third District responded to the scene and determined that the offense took place in the unit block of Florida Avenue, Northwest. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.

The decedent has been identified as 33-year-old Aaron Watts, of no fixed address.
