When Mary Washington was first elected, one of her opponents, the guy on the right, was three months old.
- THE BIG LIE?
- The League of Women Voters allowed Mary Washington’s statement to be read at the candidate forum at the Lexington Park Library on April 25, 2024. In it, she stated that she was sick after attending a funeral the week prior and had to skip the third such forum for candidates in this election.
- On April 24, 2024, as shown in the screenshot below, Mary Washington attended the St. Mary’s Board of Education meeting. (see video of School Board meeting with Mary Washington present.)
- If she was sick at the time, she might have infected everyone else. She also continues to wear a mask despite what has been learned after COVID-19 that masks don’t work, which should cause folks to wonder why she doesn’t follow the science or why she wants to avoid accountability as she seeks to extend her career in politics into a third decade.
- There is nothing preventing Mary Washington from continuing to volunteer her time, but it is time to limit her to her present term in creating policy as an elected member of the St. Mary’s County Board of Education. She should not have filed for another term and accepted a gold watch paid for by other school board members, not the taxpayers.
