DIRTBAG ROUNDUP: Frederick Police Charged James Robert Jackson on Child Pornography Distribution and Possession Counts

FREDERICK, MD. – The Frederick Police Department reports that it has identified and arrested a subject on several sex offense charges.

In August 2023, Det. DeWees of the Frederick Police Department received information from a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) that an individual, later identified as James Robert Jackson, had been chatting online with an undercover officer.  In these chats, Jackson had distributed child sex abuse material.

Det. DeWees and Special Agent Yesensky of the FBI worked quickly with the Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office on the investigation.  Det. DeWees authored and was granted search and seizure warrants for Jackson’s residence and vehicle. The evidence obtained resulted in several sex offense charges against Jackson.
