MURDER USA Baltimore Police charged Derek Steele with the murder of Johnny Small in Homicide #33 for 2024 in Baltimore City

BALTIMORE, MD – The Baltimore City Police report that In reference to the homicide that occurred in the Northeast District on March 1, 2024, investigators have arrested 23-year-old Derek Lee Steele III (DOB 1/6/2001) of 1227 E. Belvedere Avenue, Baltimore.
Detectives learned that Steele allegedly fatally shot 55-year-old Johnny Small while in the 5300 block of Frankford Avenue, following a dispute.
On March 11, 2024, with the assistance of Foxtrot, Northeast and Southwest District Action Team officers arrested Derek Lee Steele III while in the 1700 block of West Baltimore Street. Steele is currently being held at the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, handgun on person, and loaded handgun on person.
Steele is currently being held without bail pending a preliminary hearing on April 9, 2024.
Since Johnny Small was eliminated from the living persons of Baltimore, another ten murder victims have been added to the death rolls of Charm City.
Derek Lee Steele III was charged in Anne Arundel County by Anne Arundel Police Officer Walker with threats of mass violence and disorderly conduct. The case was moved from District Court to Anne Arundel County Circuit Court, where Anne Arundel States Attorney Anne Colt Leitess agreed to a plea deal on the misdemeanor charges on Nov. 8, 2023.
