The motive for this shooting remains under investigation. The preliminary detectives’ investigation suggests that one or more suspects intentionally discharged a firearm at the victims.
The victims have been identified as 32-year-old Anthony Brown of Southeast, DC, and 32-year-old Jay Dante Lucks (DOB 11/14/91) of 6123 Edlyne Road, Baltimore, MD. Lucks ran out of luck as he has been cited for the last three years in Baltimore County for driving without insurance, driving with reckless and wild abandon, driving without a permit, and a dozen other traffic violations. Anne Arundel County Police Officer B. Walker cited Lucks with driving without a permit, insurance, etc, on Sept. 15, 2022. A bench warrant was issued by Judge Thomas E. Mike Miller III for Lucks on August 4, 2023, after Lucks failed to appear, and the warrant is still outstanding but will have to be served in the DC. Morgue, where he is presently in cold storage.
