HORROR SHOW IN BRYANS ROAD

BRYANS ROAD, MD. – A Prince Georges’ County Corrections officer may soon join inmates on the other side of cell bars should he be convicted of attempted first-degree murder and eight other criminal charges associated with his night-long torture of his wife.

Police say he bagged her head, cuffed and shackled her, and stabbed her more than two dozen times.

It was definitely torture, said Charles County Sheriff Spokeswoman Diane Richardson.

The Charles County Grand Jury issued indictments against Armando Quispe Rodriguez on April 6, 2018.

Charles County Sheriff Troy Berry reported that on March 23, 2018, at 1:57 p.m., officers responded to a single-family home at 2580 Archway Lane in Bryans Road after a man called 911 to report a stabbing.

When officers arrived, they located the man who had lacerations to his hands. They found his wife in the basement with multiple stab wounds.

Police say that Rodriquez later called 911 and indicated he and his wife had been stabbed. Armando Quispe Rodriguez, 45, of Bryans Road, was arrested on March 26, immediately after he was released from the hospital.

Rodriquez was charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault, false imprisonment, and other related charges. His wife is still in serious condition. Attorney Thomas Mooney of Upper Marlboro is representing Rodriquez and a court appearance was set for May 4, 2018, but later canceled.

Motions in the case were filed on April 24, 2018, by Mooney demanding inspection of evidence and other discovery as well as a motion to exclude evidence in the horrific crime that set new levels of brutality in the murderous memories of Maryland crime.
