NOT WOKE OR AWAKE IN CHARLES COUNTY: School System Hired Accused Sex Offender To Work In Westlake High School

IS THIS ANY WAY TO RUN A PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM?

WALDORF, MD. – Perhaps Charles County Sheriff Troy Berry can send over a police officer to the hapless bozos running the Charles County school system and show the dipsticks in human resources how to use Google to get a few tips on whether or not to hire someone.

Following Sheriff Berry reporting the arrest of Daylin Roy Davis for allegedly conducting sexual encounters with several students, a simple Google search for Davis revealed the following news report from WCBC radio and the Cumberland Times-News from 2017:

The May term of the Mineral County grand jury handed up 42 indictments, seven of which were for sex offenses.

Daylin Roy Davis, Waldorf, use of minors in filming sexually explicit conduct and distribution, exhibiting and possession of material depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Sheriff Berry reports that Detectives assigned to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division have charged Daylin Roy Davis, 27, (DOB 1/26/1995) of 9888 LEIGHLAND CT, Waldorf, Md with sexual solicitation of a minor, sex offenses, and assault.

Police say that In early March of 2022, a Charles County public school administrator at Westlake High School observed what appeared to be an inappropriate relationship between Davis and a student. At the time, Davis was an instructional assistant at Westlake High School and a freshman basketball and cross-country coach at North Point High School in the Charles County Public School system.

The Charles County Sheriff’s Department was notified, and detectives began working immediately to determine the nature of the contact he had with the student. Through investigation, detectives learned Davis was also involved with a second student.

The contact with the students was determined by detectives to be criminal in nature.

Further investigation revealed the contacts took place within the school on numerous occasions from September 2021 to March of 2022.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant and on March 23, Davis was located and arrested. He was charged with two counts of sexual solicitation of a minor, third-degree sex offense, fourth-degree sex offense, and second-degree assault. He is currently being detained at the Charles County Jail without bond.

During the investigation, detectives learned that in 2017, Davis was involved in inappropriate contact with a juvenile female in another state.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have had inappropriate contact with Davis to call Detective Singh at 301-609-6471.
