Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – Prince William County Police reports that on June 7, 2023, at 11:55 PM, officers attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Dale Blvd. and Kingsman Rd. in Woodbridge, Va., for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as the accused, disregarded the officer’s emergency equipment and sped off. Officers did not pursue the vehicle. A short time later, officers observed the vehicle on Westway Ln., and before they could make contact with the accused, he fled on foot.

During the ensuing foot pursuit, the accused entered a nearby apartment building, and as he was exiting the building, he pushed the doors into an officer. The foot pursuit continued, and shortly after, the accused was taken into custody without further incident. The officer reported minor injuries. While investigating, officers determined the accused was intoxicated and was in possession of suspected illegal narcotics.

Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Glen Lamar POLITE III, was arrested.
