Western District Attempted Murder Arrest

In reference to the shooting that occurred on June 20, 2023, in the Western District, investigators have arrested 37-year-old Darryl Davis of Baltimore.

Investigators believe that Davis shot a 41-year-old female while in the 1900 block of Windsor Avenue.

Detectives arrested Davis on Oct. 28, 2023, and transported him to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder.

Victim was involved in the attempted carjacking of an off-duty police officer in August.

BALTIMORE, MD. – The City of Baltimore Police report that on October 30, 2023, at approximately 11:30 p.m., an officer was advised of a pedestrian-involved crash in the 2500 block of Orleans Street while on routine patrol.

Once there, officers located a 16-year-old male, unresponsive, lying in the street. City police said the teen, Khaleel Jones, was shot near the intersection of Bowleys Lane and Gunter Avenue, about 3 miles away at Orleans Street and Milton Avenue. Baltimore Police confirmed that Jones was involved in the attempted carjacking of an off-duty police officer in August of 2023 and was shot during that incident.

Patrol officers, along with a citizen, immediately began rending aid to the victim until medics arrived on the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital where he later died.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was not struck by a vehicle but was shot by an unidentified suspect while in the 4600 block of Bowleys Lane. The victim was then driven to the 2500 block of Orleans Street, where he was located by police.

On October 29, 2023, at approximately 1:08 p.m., officers responded to the 6700 block of Graceland Avenue to investigate a reported shooting incident.

Once at the location, officers located a 33-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Southwest District Shooting Investigation

On October 29, 2023, at approximately 1:26 p.m., officers responded to the 1500 block of Penrose Avenue to investigate a reported shooting incident.

Once at the location, officers located a 17-year-old female victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the left arm. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On October 29, 2023, at approximately 3:41 p.m., officers responded to the 1600 block of Pumphrey Street to investigate a reported shooting incident. 

Once at the location, officers located a 26-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the arm. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
