Seaford– The Delaware State Police have arrested 47-year-old James H. Comegys Jr. after he was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs for the 6th time.
The incident occurred on January 12, 2020, at approximately 7:31 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the area of Northbound Sussex Highway and Bethel Concord Road, Seaford, for a report of a white Ford vehicle swerving all over the roadway. Upon arrival to the area, the Trooper observed a white Ford Fusion in the left lane of Northbound Sussex Highway, approaching the red traffic light of Middleford Road. Contact was subsequently made with Comegys when the Trooper observed signs that he was driving under the influence and a DUI investigation ensued. Troopers located drug paraphernalia along with approximately .021 grams of heroin inside the vehicle. A computer check revealed that Comegys’s had five previous DUI convictions, making this his 6th arrest.
