JACKASS JUDGE OF THE WEEK: Judge Kenneth Talley let Malik Dickey free from the slammer after he fled from cops who caught him with a loaded gun and PCP

WALDORF, MD. – Charles County Sheriff Troy Berry reports that on July 22, 2022, at 2:33 a.m., officers initiated a traffic stop in the 2900 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf. During the stop, a passenger in the car jumped out, grabbed a handgun that was in his waistband, and threw it before fleeing on foot. He was apprehended without further incident.

Police say that a polymer 9mm ghost gun– meaning the gun did not have a serial number–was recovered and phencyclidine / PCP.

Officers also learned the man, Malik Rashaad Dickey, 26, of District Heights, Maryland, was prohibited from possessing a firearm due to a disqualifying criminal conviction.

 According to Maryland Court records, on July 25, Charles County District Court Judge Kenneth Talley ordered Dickey to be released from the Charles County Jail as long as he met the electronic monitoring conditions. Officer Dunn is investigating.
