CHILD RAPE AT PAX RIVER: Delvon Lashawn Redd sentenced for rape of Lexington Park child in his room at Navy Lodge

Six years and six months for Delvon Lashawn Redd for rape of Lexington Park child in plea deal with US Attorney Erek Barron

PAX RIVER NAS: Delvon Lashawn Redd, a sailor stationed at the USS Ramage at Norfolk, was staying in the Navy Lodge Hotel at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station when he used social media to meet and then arrange to pick up a child living with her father at St. Mary’s Landing apartments in Lexington Park on May 6, 2022, where he raped her.

Prior to his apprehension by authorities, he was cited in Virginia on June 29, 2022, for failing to drive to the right of the center of the highway and failing to have a driver’s permit in King and Queen County. The charge showed a home address in Stafford County, Va. Redd was convicted of both charges in absentia.

U.S. District Judge Deborah L. Boardman sentenced Delvon Lashawn Redd, 30, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, on February 6, 2024, to six years and six months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for abusive sexual contact with a minor.  Judge Boardman also ordered that, upon his release from prison, Redd must continue to register as a sex offender in the places where he resides, where he is an employee, and where he is a student under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (“SORNA”).

Redd used a Navy vehicle to travel to St. Mary’s Landing Apartments to meet and pick up the victim to return to his room at the Navy Lodge, where he raped her, keeping her overnight.
